Since August last year we taken him to several hospitals, but only treated for malaria but at last at UCH he was diagnosed of vegetation of the heart (16mm and 10mm)Infective endocarditis. He was treated for 6 weeks on Strong antibiotics first Rocephin but later Meronem which cost over 30, 000 per day because it was 3 times a day along with vancomycin. After the treatment the vegetation reduced to 10mm and 6mm and we were it should not be there at all, so we were referred to OAUTCH at Ife for surgical evaluation.
