Help Needed for Thyroid Surgery

I’ve been diagnosed with a swollen thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism), and it has taken a toll on my health. This condition has caused my blood pressure to rise something I never had an issue with before. I now experience rapid heartbeats (palpitations), constant nervousness, and I’ve been placed on antihypertensive medications: Atenolol (100mg) and Amlodipine (10mg), just to keep things under control.

My doctor has advised that surgery could help correct the issue and possibly eliminate the need for lifelong medication. During my last consultation, the cost for the surgery was ₦420,000. I’m not sure what the current cost is, but even that amount is far beyond what I can afford at the moment.

It’s been difficult managing this condition emotionally, physically, and financially. I truly want to take the necessary step toward healing, but I can’t continue running tests when the surgery itself is still out of reach.
